“We still have options to fight for something, but with Levante’s two victories, it’s made things much more difficult. I expected us to be in the fight until the end, but seeing the standings now, things seem a lot more complicated”.
Work
“The situation is what it is. What we must focus on is continuing to work hard, try and play good matches and convey the best possible image for the remainder of the season. Since I’ve been here I’ve seen a very committed team, in the sense that the players train well and try and do things right, but I think it’s down to several factors why we haven’t been winning games”.
Winning the first match
“We have options, but if before we had a 50 or 60 per cent chance of safety, now it’s much more difficult. What I would like, sincerely, is to win a first match, as since I’ve been here I’ve not had that good luck. With a win, maybe we’d see things in a slightly different way”.
Fight until the end
“I have reasons, as does everyone, to do well, fight until the end, and above all, give a good image. We know the situation is tough. Now we all need to stick together, and despite our position, I think the dressing room is responding very well, we’re training well, trying to compete and hoping matches go our way”.
