The Academy
Málaga Club de Fútbol has an important responsibility in La Academia, based on sports, educational, and teaching training. The players who are part of the youth academy belong to an entity that prioritizes education and teaching as starting points for the development of sports activities. These are values that the Club aims to instill from the ground up so that our young footballers are trained in all aspects of life.
The MCF Academy is directly managed by the Málaga CF Sports Management Area, led by Loren Juarros. Before the Burgos native, the youth football of the entity was coordinated by Sergio Paulo Barbosa Valente, 'Duda,' Rafa Gil, Antonio Tapia, Miguel Calzado, the duo Miguel Ángel Beas/Reuf Dervic, or the late Manel Casanova, Pepe Sánchez, and Francesc Arnau.
Respect for opponents, solidarity, and camaraderie are also values associated with the blanquiazul Academy, which, thanks to this philosophy and the methodology applied by the coaches and trainers, makes it a benchmark for youth development at the national and European levels. Additionally, the Ciudad Deportiva Fundación MCF in the El Arraijanal area allows the lower-tier teams to work and coexist in the same facility to improve individual and collective fundamentals.
