Víctor: “We’re optimistic, we’re on the right track”
The Malaguista coach attended to the media in a press conference in the run-up to #DéporMálaga: “We’ve recovered the internationals and have had the progressive reincorporation of Pacheco. We’re training with a large number of players”.

“Luis hasn’t had a session with the group. We’ll have to see how he is tomorrow, but if he hasn’t undergone a training session and have only been one day with the group, it will be very difficult for him to play. The rest of the players are all very good. We’ve recovered the internationals and have had the progressive reincorporation of Pacheco. We’re training with a large number of players and also with a group of players from the reserve team who are very close to the first team and help them a great deal”.
On the way to climbing positions
“It’s a highly repeated comment this matchday due to the situation involving both teams in the standings. However, the standings are about the final matchday, there’s still a long way to go and a lot of room to recover positions. In terms of ourselves, we’re optimistic because with the work the team is doing, we’re on the right track to be able to move up the table”.
Fans’ tireless support is key
“By watching the matches and sharing the analysis with the players, it’s very easy not to lose an ounce of confidence in the team. As an example, I show the reaction from fans in every match. There’s no better way to realise that when your fans recognise you with their support it’s because things are being done well. We’re still lacking somewhat, but we’re the first ones to want it and we have the motivation as our fans are doing all they can. There’s nothing we want more than to dedicate a victory to our fans”.
