Not this year, but… WE WILL BE BACK!

Málaga CF appreciates the massive support from fans and followers, who were focused on the common goal of promotion to the elite that wasn’t to be this season. Put simply, THANK YOU for your unconditional loyalty.

It wasn’t to be. Despite a fantastic end to the 18/19 season, securing third place in LaLiga 1|2|3 after a highly consistent campaign remaining in the Top 6 in the standings for 41 out of 42 games, Málaga CF didn’t manage to surpass the LaLiga Santander promotion play-off, and will remain in the silver division for another year.

Enthusiasm, unity and the strength of Malaguismo kept the dream alive until the end. You, Malaguista, are the reason the Blue and White feeling goes deep into the heart. That muscle that makes Málaga CF breathe, in union and hand in hand with the formidable fans.

In the Third Division, when the new MCF was ‘born’ almost 25 years ago, or playing in the Champions League in that unforgettable 2012/13 season when we touched the European sky, there has always been a common denominator: FANS, in capital letters, who always are, always were and always will be with us. They never fail.

For this reason, for our history and our city, for us and for you, we’ll continue to work hard with the sole commitment of making the slogan that has captured the Malaguista fans a reality. That ‘Vamos a Volver’, the brother of ‘Vamos, Málaga’ is filled with ambition and positivity to give you what you deserve, promotion to the only category where this Club and these fans belong. The First Division of Spanish football.

We’ll have to wait another year, and it will be tough, but also exciting. Because Málaga Club de Fútbol always comes back and we’re only thinking about trying again and achieving our goal so we can all celebrate together. Like the great Malaguista Family we are. And because, now more than ever, TE QUIERO, MÁLAGA! THANKS FANS!

Rest in peace, Pepe

The Club is in mourning this Monday 1st June. Pepe Sánchez has passed away, a Blue and White icon as coach and coordinator who had a long, successful career within the Malaguista youth ranks. Farewell, Pepe.
