Málaga CF vice president, Nasser Al Thani, along with first team player, Juankar, and Club advisers; Antonio Benítez and Francisco Martín Aguilar, presented the 2017 MCF Camp today, Tuesday. The municipalities of Benahavís, Estepona, Pizarra, Frigiliana, Villanueva del Rosario, Alhaurín el Grande and Málaga capital will again be the centre of attention of grassroots football over Semana Blanca, Easter and throughout summer.
An annual event in the province, thanks to Málaga’s provincial government, which commits to the development and promotion of football, bringing together a sports and educational philosophy via the values that preside over the teams’ progression. Cristóbal Ortega, Sports Deputy “On behalf of the provincial government, we’ve finalised a great agreement with Málaga CF to take the MCF Camp throughout the province. In Semana Blanca, Easter and summer, the Camp will take place in various municipalities. Thanks to Málaga CF, former players and coaches at the Club, we’ll take Malaguismo and the best of our colours to every corner of the province”.
Félix Lozano, Mayor of Pizarra: “There’s already an avalanche of children who are delighted to be part of the MCF Camp. This Semana Blanca, Pizarra will be even more Malaguista. We thank Málaga for undertaking these events in our municipality”.
Adrián Trujillo, Sports Councillor in Estepona: “In terms of excellence, we couldn’t let the opportunity of Málaga CF coming to our municipality pass us by. Aside from being the provincial team, we always want to have a lot of fans, and encourage the children to get involved”.
Manuel Ortega, Sports Councillor in Frigiliana: “In Frigiliana there is a supporters’ club that always travels to away games, and the Malaguista feeling is represented by them. The first Camp will take place over Semana Blanca. We want it to continue gaining strength and moving forward”.
José Antonio González, Mayor of Villanueva del Rosario: “We believe that sport is life and essential for young people. As such, we want to extend the MCF Camp to the whole region”.
Alonso Mena, Sports Councillor of Benahavís: “Our relationship with Málaga goes beyond a friendly, commercial bond. We are a team that has the honour of the Blue and Whites’ first team taking our name to every corner of Spain, even during European competition”.
