Launch of ‘Sobre Ruedas’ Malaguista Supporters’ Club
The new ‘peña’ was registered as an association at the Delegation of the Andalusian Government. This is the first Malaguista supporters’ group made up of people with reduced mobility.
The ‘Peña Malaguista Sobre Ruedas’was registered as an association on Tuesday, at the Registry of the Andalusian government delegation. With great expectation, president of the group, Sergio Hijano completed the relevant documents for registration.
With this action, the supporters’ group makes history by becoming the first ‘Peña Malaguista’ made up of people with reduced mobility. In Hijano’s own words, “I’m not 100 per cent sure, but I believe we are the only ‘peña’ for people in wheelchairs out of any football club in Andalucía, and for us it’s a great honour to support Málaga CF”.
The ‘peña’ includes fans who watch matches in the specially adapted zone at La Rosaleda. “We are faithful followers, we attend every game, whether it’s raining or not, we always support the team”, affirms the president.
The event was attended by Junta de Andalucía delegate in Málaga, José Luis Ruiz Espejo; member of the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes, ‘Basti’; secretary of the Federation of ‘Peñas Malaguistas’, Alberto Jiménez; and various representatives from the ‘Peña Malaguista Sobre Ruedas’.
With the documentation sealed, there is officially a new ‘peña’ in the Malaguista Family, to which it unites, according to its representative: “the love and feeling for our Blue and Whites’ colours”.
