The Loyal Malaguista always steps up

Mari Carmen, Jaime, Antonio Jesús, Hugo and Jorge were among the first passionate Blue and White fans to pledge their loyalty to the Club. There are now 5,300 Loyal Malaguistas. Get to know their stories.

Since 9th June, the Club asked the fans for a lifelong commitment, and the number of Loyal Malaguistas hasn’t stopped growing, now at 5,300.

Over the week we’ve met, via their videos, five of the first fans who became Loyal Malaguistas. Mari Carmen Zambrana and her son Jaime Porta were the second and third, Antonio Jesús Cherino and son Hugo in fourth and fifth, whilst Jorge Carlos Villalba was the sixth fastest to become a Loyal Malaguista.

As Jaime says, “a Malaguista is born, not made, and you need to be with the team”. Malaguismo runs in the blood of his mother, Mari Carmen, who instilled the Blue and White Values in her son, in the same way as Jorge Carlos – a season ticket holder for 16 years – who conveyed the Values to his son Álvaro. As did Antonio Jesús, whose passion for Málaga CF was passed down to his son Hugo, who has been a season ticket holder for five of his 11 years of age.

They all saw it clearly and became Loyal Malaguistas from day one. And they are because, in the words of Jorge Carlos, “it’s another way of helping the Club, as I feel it’s a part of me. I’ll be a small part of the Club for life”. Mari Carmen and Jaime wanted to show their commitment “as soon as possible, as we must continue to support the Club, now more than ever”.

And, as well as continuing to support Málaga CF, as they’ve always done, they also encourage Blue and White fans to become Loyal Malaguistas, as “there are many advantages and it isn’t expensive”, say Mari Carmen and Jaime. Also, so that the team “can move up to the First Division”, says an excited young Hugo. And above all, as Jorge Carlos states, “to remain loyal for life to the colours, the team, our Málaga CF”.

These are just five of the 5,300 Loyal Malaguistas we have up to now, Sunday 27th June. And there’ll be many more. With the return to stadiums now closer than ever, becoming a Loyal Malaguista gives you priority in re-occupying your seat at La Rosaleda. In addition, it will be an essential requirement to acquiring your season ticket. To these five committed Blue and White hearts, thank you, And 5,300 thank yous to all the fans who have stepped forward. Malaguistas, we’re waiting for you. Will you say yes?
