The player, who sustained injury during team training at La Rosaleda on Thursday 30th September, was operated on by Doctor Manuel Leyes at Clínica CEMTRO de Madrid. Iván Calero and Pablo Chavarría underwent surgery at the same clinic and by the same surgeon.
For Luis’ operation, which lasted close to two hours, the BTB (bone-tendon-bone) technique was applied to the injured joint. The number ‘8’ was accompanied by Abel Gómez (MCF Academy Medical Services).
As established within the medical protocol, Luis Muñoz will rest for between 24 and 48 hours before being discharged from the hospital.
