Martiricos dressed up to celebrate the 80th birthday of one of its most iconic residents, La Rosaleda. The Malaguismo temple has featured in millions of personal stories that move its protagonists with one simple memory. The first time with our father or grandfather, or mother or grandmother, the first goal celebration, that list-minute comeback or that defeat that has now stopped hurting over time, but continues to mark us.
Whatever the experience, what is clear is that such an intimate and deep connection unites us with this stadium forever. For this reason, many Malaguistas didn’t want to miss the tribute that Málaga CF and the MCF Foundation organised for La Rosaleda.
All the political, police and sporting authorities of Málaga and Andalucía, as well as LaLiga and RFEF populated the palco de honor. A dozen local, regional and national media were present so as not to miss any detail. Former players, former coaches and former presidents returned to the venue that will never forget their great achievements. The current MCF squads featuring all the players, from the male and female first teams to the MCF Academy and Málaga Genuine teams. All together with the most important group, the fans. Around 4,000 loyal fans sang along with Iván Peláez, laughed with Tomás García and got emotional with the documentary that reviewed La Rosaleda’s 80 years of life. The crowd sang numerous chants with the Grada de Animación and, of course, the hymn that excites everyone in the run-up to kick-off, Málaga la Bombonera.
