Press conference

“It was an incredibly fast-paced match”

José Alberto López held a press conference at the José Zorrilla press room following the 1-1 draw in Valladolid, and is positive about the point won away from home.

“The game had many moments for both teams. Valladolid came out with a lot of drive, but from then on (the first 10-15 minutes) and even beforehand, with our goal I think we were comfortable in the game,” said the coach.

Following three defeats away from home against the top three teams in the table, we claimed “a point” that was very “hard-fought. Other times by doing more we had less. And you also need a bit of luck to be able to score,” he added.

For the Blue and White coach, Valladolid-Málaga “was a typical Second Division game. The match wasn’t interrupted more than it should have been, and the referee is there to judge,” he said. It was an incredibly fast-paced match, much like an end-of-season clash. I think the referee allowed us to play and it was a high level of refereeing,” said José Alberto.
