Sixth League win on the bounce! (0-2)

Málaga Femenino defeated Extremadura, away from home, on matchday six of Primera Nacional Group 4. Goals from María Cortés and Torralvo secured the sixth consecutive league victory.

Ayala’s starting 11 comprised of: María Arrabal; Marina, Ruth, Yoli, Encarni; Farfán, María Cortés, Teté, Clo; Bertuchi and Torralvo. Carmen, Claudia, Silvia Mérida, Elena and Olmedo also played in the second half.

The team got off to a determined start at the Tomás de la Hera against a rival in need of points at the bottom of the table. The Malaguistas had territorial control of the game, created promising chances and half a dozen corners in their favour, but the scoreboard didn’t alter in the first half.

The goals arrived in the second half. María Cortés, in 53’, put the girls 0-1 in front, then ‘pichichi’ Sonia Torralvo continued her scoring streak to seal the 0-2 victory in 87’.

An undisputed leader, MCFF, who yesterday discovered their rival in the second round (10-11 November) of the Copa de la Reina, Zaragoza CFF. The girls are unstoppable this 21/22 season, with a full house of wins. Vamos, Málaga!
