Following the 1-1 draw with Zaragoza, the Malaguista right-back held a press conference in La Rosaleda’s press room. “Nobody has come here and won,” he said.
“The match was good, but it’s bittersweet as we wanted victory. We had chances to score the second or third, but we should be pleased with our performance and now focus on Tuesday, which is just around the corner,” he said at the start of the press conference.
The number ‘2’ is positive about the draw: “We have to think that we’ve earned a good point and scored another at home. Nobody has come here and won. Now to concentrate on Huesca, determine their weak points and try and surpass them,” he said.
In addition, Víctor Gómez is happy with his recent international appearance: “I was fortunate to be part of the Under-21s, it’s a reward for hard work and I’m grateful to the coach for the opportunity. I came back and told the coach(José Alberto) that I was available. I didn’t play the second match, yet in the end it’s the coach who makes the decision”.
