Another point at Las Rozas (2-2)

Málaga Femenino drew away to Olympia Las Rozas on Sunday on matchday 8 of Group 3 of the Segunda Federación.

Héctor Díaz named the following starting XI at the Madrid Recinto Ferial: M. Arrabal; Belén, Jeni L., Yoli Peche ©, Elsa; Marina Tomás, Andrea Ríos; Carmela, Andrea Herr., L. Ramos; Torralvo.

Before kick-off, both teams observed a respectful minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the railway tragedy in Urda (Toledo).

Málaga came close to taking the lead after 15 minutes, but Marina Tomás’ goal was ruled out for offside. The Malaguistas continued to create chances, with the clearest opportunity of the first half coming in the 40th minute. However, Andrea Herrero’s penalty was saved by the home goalkeeper.

Málaga struck with their first dangerous attack of the second half. Elsa delivered a pinpoint cross and Sonia Torralvo fired home to make it 0-1 (46’). Olympia responded well, with Patricia Camacho subsequently drawing the hosts level (1-1, 59’). But Málaga hit back immediately, as Torralvo scored again to restore the visitors’ lead (1-2, 60’).

In the closing stages, Yessenia and Noemi came on for Carmela and Marina Tomás in minute 67, followed by Arantxa replacing two-goal scorer Torralvo in the 74th. Futu and Alba Navarro then replaced Lucía Ramos and Belén in the 82nd minute.

With 15 minutes remaining, the Madrid side drew level once again through Belén Peralta (2-2, 75’). Alba Navarro had a chance to make it 2-3 in minute 85 but was unable to find the finish.

The result leaves Málaga CFF in 4th place in the table on 17 points, occupying a promotion spot for the Primera Federación.
