Javier Ontiveros will head to Barcelona this Friday to have an operation to correct his groin injury, scheduled for Saturday, carried out by doctor Ramón Cugat.

Following an initial assessment by Málaga CF’s medical services, and a second opinion by the prestigious Catalan doctor, the Club and the player have decided that surgery is the best option.

As such, the Blue and Whites’ winger will not be able to assist Atlético Malagueño in neither of their two matches in the final round of Second Division B promotion play-offs, against A D Unión Adarve.
