Juankar undergoes surgery to anterior cruciate ligament
Blue and Whites’ player Juankar Pérez had surgery on his right knee today, Monday. The arthroscopy determined a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament.
During the operation, carried out - without incident – by traumatologist José Manuel Fernández Medina at Hospital Vithas Parque San Antonio in the capital, a cross plasty with a ‘goose foot’ tendon was undertaken, as well as a regularisation of the external meniscus on Juankar’s right knee.
The Madrid-born player, who has a drain in the operated area, will likely spend the next 48 hours under post-operative care in the aforementioned hospital.
This is the second anterior cruciate ligament injury for Juankar, to the same knee, over the past year. On 25th November 2017, at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, the number ‘7’ sustained the same injury mid-match.
Stay strong and get well soon!!
