Team goals

Málaga Club de Fútbol has accumulated eight goal-scorers in its ranks, and seven goals from set pieces so far in LaLiga 1|2|3.

If Juan Ramón López Muñiz has made something clear, it’s that Málaga CF is, above all, a team. There are plenty of reasons why. Beyond the collective defensive work reflected in only eight goals conceded (second fewest goals conceded in the competition), the statistics also speak for themselves in regard to the attack.

Out of 12 matches played, the Blue and Whites have scored 15 goals. One name stands out amongst these 15 goals, Blanco Leschuk. ‘El Tiburón’ has netted six goals – all at La Rosaleda – but behind him, what stands out is the collective. A total of eight footballers have scored during this initial stage of the league competition, putting the Malaguistas in the Top 5 teams with the most goal-scorers in their ranks.

As well as the Argentine striker, players who have also scored are Harper (2), N’Diaye (2), Ricca, Adrián, Hicham, Juankar and in the match against CA Osasuna, Pau.

These stats have not been obtained by chance, as if something has shone in MCF’s attacking display it’s been the set piece. To the impressive Luis Hernández catapult, we must add the magnificent touch of the players launching corners and indirect free kicks. As such, 46.6% of goals scored by Muñiz’s men have culminated as a result of this strategy, that’s 7 out of 15 goals in this current #LaLiga123.
