Seven homegrown players in action on return to training

Málaga CF returned to training this Wednesday morning at La Rosaleda’s annexe. The lads were back to work following a day off yesterday, including a wide presence of reserve team and ‘juvenil’ players under Muñiz’s orders.

Following a purely physical start, the team prioritised work with the ball for over an hour and a half. In training were ‘juvenil’ international goalkeeper Álvaro Fernández together with Munir, Kieszek and Andrés Prieto. In addition, along with the usual Iván Rodríguez and Hicham, also in training with the first team were homegrown players Álex Robles, Keidi Bare, Iván Jaime and Antoñín.

Boulahroud and Cifuentes – as well as Koné – completed the second session of the week normally, whilst Juanpi and Diego González underwent specific work on the pitch under the instruction of physical trainer Manu Gestoso. The Cádiz-born defender joined the group in the second part of the session. In the final stage, Luis Hernández retired from training due to an adductor injury to the right leg, pending assessment.

Jack Harper remained in the gym today to undergo recovery work. Mula and Juankar are suffering with long-term injury.

Tomorrow, Thursday from 10:00, the Blue and Whites will return to training at La Rosaleda stadium’s facilities.
