A goalless draw today between Málaga CF Femenino and the Russia women’s national team. The friendly kicked-off today, 1st March, at 12.00 at the Dama de Noche ground in Marbella, with the aim of maintaining the pace of competition for the Malaguista squad.
The Blue and Whites have a break from Liga Iberdrola this week and next week and decided to play against the Russian team in a friendly they dominated in the first half. Antonio Contreras selected the following starting-11: Touré, Postigo, Leti, María Ruiz, Paula, Adriana, Alba, Raquel, Ruth, Minori and Míriam.
There was a broad representation from the MCF Academy on the bench, with Arantxa Medina, Andrea Ríos and Nora de Torres enjoying minutes in the second half of the game.
After several occasions for the local team, and with a clear dominance of the ball, the friendly ended in a goalless draw, with good sensations ahead of the league competition.
