Víctor: “Giving continuity to the good results is an incentive”

The Malaguista coach held a press conference in the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room at La Rosaleda the day before #ExtremaduraMálaga. “We know we’ll be facing an opponent who has prepared very well”, he stated.

Objective, Extremadura

“We’re facing this match as we do every week, with maximum enthusiasm focused on seeking victory. We’re going there to give continuity to the recent good results, which is an incentive, boosts our spirits and provides an extra motivation. If we keep doing things with the same strength both in defence and attack, we’ll be much closer to victories. We hope to follow the same path against Extremadura, knowing we’ll be facing an opponent who has prepared very well. It will be an extremely hard-fought, intense game”.

Homegrown players, reserve team and Mosquera

“We maintain a very close communication with Pellicer, with the reserve team, in regard to the necessities of our squad. It’s absolutely essential that we work in this way, which we will always do. In regard to the rival, I have a great friendship with Mosquera following the work we shared together at Deportivo. It was a pleasure working with him in a coordinated way as we are doing now with the reserve team and Sergio Pellicer”.

Julio, new to the line-up

“We have been following Julio, Antoñín joined the team and has been doing well, yet the limitation of reserve team registered players in the 11 has conditioned the team a great deal. If not, we would have seen far more reserve team players in the line-up than three or four when we reached the limit of the regulations. He’s been training phenomenally well with the team, has already done so on occasion, but we understood that it was important that he had continuity this week to favour his integration and, of course, in attacking positions he has possibilities to have minutes”.
