Match preview: #MálagaFemarguín Femenino

Málaga CF Femenino are returning to the ground where they achieved First Division promotion, for the final match of 2019.

The year is coming to an end and Málaga CF Femenino face the last match of 2019 travelling to Arguineguín in Gran Canaria. The Blue and Whites are going back to the place where they achieved promotion to the First Division, facing CD Femarguín SPAR Gran Canaria on matchday 14 of Liga Reto Iberdrola.

José Herrera’s girls are hoping to end the year with a victory, something they weren’t able to do in the last match against CD Juan Grande at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.

The Blue and Whites, fifth in the table with 21 points, face the rival from the Canary Islands, currently in eighth place with 17 points.

For this match, the Blue and White coach has called-up 18 players: Noelia Gil, Lucía, Marina, Olmedo, Postigo, Encarni, Clo, Ornella, Pamela, Adriana, Arantxa, Ana Buceta, Judi, Carol, Edna, Ayano, Farfán and María Ruiz.

History

These rivals have played one another on two previous occasions. Both ended in a 1-0 victory for the Blue and Whites. The most important match in the Canary Islands was held in May of the 2017-18 season when Málaga CF Femenino, thanks to a goal from María Ruiz, achieved promotion to Liga Iberdrola.
