The Malaguista left-back, who assisted on Roberto's first goal, spoke to the media in the mixed zone at the Balear Stadium. “Thanks to the fans who came to support us, they gave us a boost and deserve the joy we’ve given them,” he said.
Víctor García, Málaga CF's left-back, was one of the players who spoke after the #BalearesMálaga victory.
The defender describes it as “super important” because “the three points were our objective. We showed what we wanted on the pitch, and it turned out well,” he stated.
“Starting out well is always a plus, both for the fans and for the players who believe in each week's plan. They were three very important points,” he continued.
Víctor García commented on the team's improvement in the second half: “We corrected a couple of tactical things and we had to come out with all guns blazing, we couldn't relax. We couldn’t let these point get away. We had Dioni's goal and then other very clear opportunities to score more. It was clear that we were going all out for the match.”
The left-back analysed the play leading up to Roberto's goal, which stemmed from his pass: “I thank Dani Lorenzo for seeing the movement and giving me the sensational ball to control, then that fantastic play by Roberto. Following a good cross, it went in.”
Víctor García had words of affection for the Malaguistas at Estadio Balear: “Thanks to the fans who came to support us. We’re not alone away from home. Seeing the fans in the corner gives us a boost and they deserve the joy we’ve given them.”
Lastly, he called on the fans for Saturday at Martiricos: “I hope La Rosaleda is full, they gave us an extra push in the last game and they help us score goals. I encourage them to come again, they bring so much.”
