Gabilondo: We have to return the fans' efforts on the pitch

The Malaguista full-back appeared before the media this Wednesday in the 'Juan Cortés' Press Room at La Rosaleda. “We’re improving little by little, getting in shape and working as a team. The sensations are getting better,” Jokin said.

After the team's first three league games, Jokin commented that “both the team and I are improving little by little, getting in shape and working as a team. The sensations are getting better,” he stated.

This week, Málaga CF has reached 17,000 season ticket holders. This milestone, as well as the high presence of Malaguistas at Estadio Balear, is proof of the commitment of the Blue and White fans. The player thought that having so many people at the ground was “something unthinkable,” but “it has been achieved and the push they give us is amazing. The fans are making an immense effort and now it’s our turn to give it back to them on the pitch,” he expressed.

After the team's two victories, Gabilondo believes that “we have to be calm in what we’re doing then the sensations will improve and we’ll earn more points. We are working well, keeping a clean sheet is important. The work is being done well and the results will come. The Primera RFEF is characterised with the matches being very close. The other day we managed to make a comeback and there will also be games when we are not so lucid in attack. We have to keep a clean sheet and the results will come,” he said to the media.

The team faces the match with confidence and is eager to play again at La Rosaleda: “We are full of enthusiasm, a job well done always gives you an extra boost. When you win it's different, the weight is taken off. The team is encouraged, we want to keep a clean sheet and continue like this. Winning always gives you that extra peace of mind because a job well done is rewarded with three points.”

On Saturday, the rival “will arrive without a win and will be keen for victory.” Jokin believes that “they will come with a lot of strength and motivation,” but we must “play our game and get the third in a row.”
