Pellicer: We have to convey emotion, passion and fight

The Malaguista coach spoke to the media this Friday afternoon, the day before Málaga CF-Recreativo Granada: “We have to generate the same atmosphere as in the last match at La Rosaleda,” he commented.

Sergio Pellicer appeared before the media hours before the last training session ahead of the Primera Federación matchday four fixture, in which the Blue and Whites will face the Granada reserve team: “It will be very similar to the Atlético de Madrid B match, a reserve team, young, very hungry and full of enthusiasm. In the first game they competed well against Murcia and lost a match that they had under control, they competed very well in Linares, and it cost them against Algeciras. It's going to be a very difficult match, we're going to need to show our best version, we know what it's costing us. We have to give the best version from humility and generate the atmosphere as in the last match at La Rosaleda,” he stated.

The mental aspect is essential to achieve results, according to Pellicer: “The things we are reinforcing are situations of mental strength. We need a great deal of balance between us. We live on a fine line between victory and defeat. We need to continue improving and taking steps forward, this has only just started. I work with great humility so that everything flows, and we get the three points at our stadium. We have to see how to play to achieve victory,” he said.

In the last match at La Rosaleda there was a unique atmosphere that tipped the balance: “The fans show their passion and that is conveyed to the players. Passion is the most intense emotion there is, the locomotive that drives the players. That's the beauty of playing in this temple in front of these fans. For me it’s highly important to play every fortnight at La Rosaleda, and that the team is brave, humble and daring. We have reached an agreement between all of us and that is what we have to convey. We have to transfer the emotion, the passion and the fight. From there, we have talented players and if we work hard and put in the effort, people will value it,” he concluded.
