“The team did everything to win”

José Alberto held a press conference after #EibarMálaga. “If we play at this level, the victory will come,” he said when asked about his team's away games.

“I’m happy, more for the result than the game. I saw the team compete at a high level, and perhaps this was our best away match against such a demanding rival as Eibar,” said the coach about the final 2-2 draw. He added that “in the second half we played at a very high level, close to what I want to see every weekend.”

José Alberto praised his team’s good performance. “The team did everything to win. Playing like today, we’re closer to winning than losing. That’s my feeling. What I want is consistency and for the team to compete like they did today, both at home and away. If we play at this level, the victory will come,” he stated.

In regard to the two penalties, he said “they are interpretable situations. I think that of David (Lombán) there’s no image that warrants a penalty. I saw the second one and Edu’s miss was fair, there was no hand ball in my opinion. The issue of a hand ball cannot be interpreted, there should be a firm rule, if it’s a hand it’s a hand, and if not, then it isn’t,” said the Blue and White coach.
