Victory against Cacereño Atlético to increase the lead (2-1)
Málaga CF Femenino defeated CF Femenino Cacereño Atlético at home. Bertuchi and Carmen Gómez scored for Ayala’s team, whilst Sonia converted for the visitors in the final seconds.
Another win for Málaga CF Femenino in Group 4 of Primera Nacional. Ayala’s girls defeated Cacereño Atlético by 2-1 on matchday 13, which took place this Sunday morning at the Roma Luz ground.
It was a hard-fought first half, with MCFF finding difficulty in approaching the rival area thanks to the visitor’s pressure in midfield. The girls’ insistence paid off just before half-time however, when Bertuchi finally managed to open the scoring (1-0, 44 ').
In the second half, Ayala’s team was able to take control of the game. So much so that they increased their lead with the goal from Carmen Gómez (2-0, 55').
Midway through the second half, there was a triple Malaguista substitution, with Claudia Muñoz, Futu and Sonia Torralvo bringing more depth to the Malaguista squad.
Futu, Teté and Sonia Torralvo had options to widen the lead with a third goal, but it wasn’t to be, and the rival stayed alive in the game. In stoppage time, Cacereño Atlético narrowed the gap with a goal from Sonia Perlaza (2-1, 93').
With this result, together with the defeat for the Malaguistas’ main rival - CD Badajoz away to Santa Teresa CD B (3-1) – MCFF bolster their lead with a total of 37 points compared to 27 for Badajoz.
