“I told myself, I have to do what I know how to do”
Dani Lorenzo made his debut in the starting-11 with the first team in Eibar, showing a high individual level for the benefit of the team. “I was nervous at the hotel, but I automatically changed my mindset. I’m very happy,” he told MCFTV.
"It was a very difficult match. We knew it wasn’t going to be straightforward. We go out to compete, play our game and show our identity. I'm happy with my performance, but the important thing is the team and winning a point,” he said.
The Marbella-born midfielder moved like a fish in water in midfield. “I knew it was going to be a tough day, with top level players, but I’m here and have to adapt. I told myself, I have to do what I know how to do and help the team in search of the three points,” he added.
His first time in the MCF starting-11 in LaLiga Smartbank was special: “We were told the starting line-up at the hotel. When I saw ‘Dani Lorenzo’ was playing I became nervous, but I automatically changed my mindset. I’m very happy.”
“I came to join the Juvenil team, I’m with Malagueño, and from the outset I could see the level of the youth teams. Every player can make the step up. Málaga are doing great things with the homegrown players,” Dani added.
