Málaga CF coach Pepe Mel held a press conference at La Romareda just after the match against Real Zaragoza ended in a 1-1 draw.
“Everything that we’d worked on and planned collapsed in the 15th minute,” he started out by saying.
He continued that “a team that suffers due to the league table today has suffered twice as much.”
The Malaguista coach recognised the great work of the players in an adverse scenario from the outset. “We should be proud of the players, they played as a group, as a team, they were united and had good communication. We defended well, took the lead and almost at the end of play we lost two points. We leave with a bad feeling, but if you look at it with perspective, today we must be proud of the players and happy for the work they did,” he concluded.
