Málaga CF Femenino were in action this Sunday at 12:00 on matchday 9 of Segunda Federación - Grupo Sur. The match was held in Castilla La Mancha against FF La Solana Quesos La Casota at their La Moheda ground.
The Blue and Whites arrived at this match in sixth place with 13 points, with the rival on seven points in 14th position.
Juanma’s starting-11 was made up of Andrea in goal; Farfán, Ruth, Silvia Mérida and Encarni in a line of four in defence; Tati, Marilén, Félicité and Sonia Torralvo in midfield; and Monterroso and Futu upfront.
The dominance of play in the first half clearly belonged to the Malaguistas on the natural pitch at La Moheda, which was not in the best condition and made the game difficult.
The clearest chance before half-time came from Monterroso with a shot that hit the crossbar.
In the second half, the MCFF players came out determined to open the scoring.
And they didn’t have long to wait. Following a series of deflected shots from Monterroso and Futu, the ball fell to Sonia Torralvo who slammed it into the net (0-1, min53).
Two connections between Encarni and the Blue and White scorer could have come to fruition, but in the end the advantage was kept to a minimum. At that point, the pitch was very heavy, and it wasn’t possible to play fluidly.
With this win, the Malaguistas have 16 points in Segunda Federación Grupo Sur. Next weekend the girls will host CD Santa Teresa at the Francisco Romero ground in Rincón de Victoria.
