Cristian continues accumulating minutes with the first team leaving good feelings on the pitch. The Malaguista was one of the voices from the dressing room who appeared before the press at La Romareda: “The team's hard work was incredible. We knew how to suffer, we recovered well from the blow of being left with 10 men since the 14th minute. We worked really well,” he said.
The rigorous expulsion of Javi Jiménez conditioned the match. Cristian had to take on the position of left back: “At times like this you have to focus on the team. If at that moment it's time to play on the wing, I’ll play on the wing. Everything to help the team,” he explained.
The duel against Real Zaragoza was, as expected, a very tough match: “It was a very difficult game. From the very beginning it was hard as it was a team in need of points. We have known how to suffer, and Rubén played a great game like the rest of our teammates. We hope it will serve as a turning point for us,” he added.
