Pellicer: “We want to clinch two wins on the bounce”

The Malaguista coach held a press conference in the lead-up to #MirandésMálaga, his 50th game at the helm of the Blue and Whites. “It’s an honour to reach this number; hopefully we’ll get a win tomorrow that we can dedicate to José Gutiérrez”, he said.

“We need to keep working hard and improving many concepts. The victory the other day was important to end our losing streak at home, that was proving to be a struggle for us. We must be on alert, there’s a long way to go and now we’re up against a rival that is proving to be one of the revelation teams of the category”.

Next objective

“We want to clinch two wins on the bounce, as it’s been a while since we’ve done that. It’s about maintaining the enthusiasm from the last match, keeping our feet on the ground, and with humility and ambition, win the three points that will bring us a great deal of peace of mind. Winning helps winning”.

50 games as Malaguista coach

“As a player and coach of the Málaga youth teams, it’s an honour to reach 50 matches together with my coaching team, and with such a sense of belonging. We need to continue like we did from the first day we arrived, focus on daily training, prepare for the next match and claim victory”.

“We’re going to find ourselves up against a very dynamic team, with associative gameplay, that always looks ahead. They have stats very similar to us in terms of the physical, one of the most intense teams in the division. It will be a game with great pace”.
