Paqui prevents the tenth win (3-3)

All square for Málaga CF at La Juventud, against UD Almería, on matchday 10 of Group 4 Primera Nacional Femenina. Just before the 90th minute, Paqui scored for the locals, preventing the 10th win on the run for the Blue and Whites.

Ayala selected the following starting line-up in Almería: María Arrabal; Encarni, Ruth, Silvia Mérida, Marina; Farfán, María Cortés, Teté, Bertuchi; Carmen Gómez and Torralvo.

The locals took the lead in the first half with a goal from Jessi, taking them 1-0 up in minute 26. A difficult match was already on the cards, yet up to now everything has been going well for MCFF.

The second half was crazy. At the start you could see why Málaga are the undisputed leaders of the competition. In the space of nine minutes, the scoreboard went from 1-0 to 1-3. María Cortés, Sonia Torralvo and Carmen Gómez scored in minutes 47’, 48’ and 54’, respectively. Between Torralvo (11) and Carmen (8) they have scored 19 goals in the league competition.

However, the incredible winning streak was stopped in its tracks by a player who came off the Almería bench. Paqui, in 62’, narrowed the gap to 2-3, and again took the home side level just before the final whistle (3-3, 89’).

Following 10 games up to now in the competition, MCFF have 28 out of 30 points to head up the table. They are at home next week in an Andalusian duel with Cádiz CF.
