Pablo Chavarría undergoes surgery

The Blue and White striker has undergone successful surgery this Wednesday afternoon in the Spanish capital.

Chavarría sustained injury during #MirandésMálaga held at Anduva on 1st March, a tear to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

After a few days of rehabilitation and physiotherapy waiting for the inflammation in his joint to subside, the footballer headed to Madrid today accompanied by Josemi, Málaga CF's first team delegate.

As was the case in January with Iván Calero, Chavarría’s surgery was carried out at the CEMTRO clinic in Madrid, by Doctor Manuel Leyes. The procedure which lasted around two hours and featured ligamentoplasty using the HTH technique, was a success and the evolution is favourable.

Pablo will spend the night in hospital tonight and, except for any unforeseen circumstances, will be discharged tomorrow, Thursday and return home to begin his recovery.
