Muñiz: “The standings will be important in March or April”

The Malaguista coach held a press conference the day before Málaga - Numancia: “It will be a difficult game, in order to win we’ll have to perform very well”.

CD Numancia, a tough rival

“They are a team that knows the category perfectly well, they have an ample squad, with players who have spent many years in this division. As with them all, it will be a difficult game, very equal, and in order to win we’ll have to perform very well. The rival will force us to play well if we want to score all three points”.

The table’s tight

“It’s anecdotal at the moment. Every team is trying to find their place. What we need to do is focus on a good vibe, play a good game and score points. In the end, the standings will be important in March or April. Logically, the higher up you are the better, but for now, moving up or down a position is indifferent to us”.

Playing on Monday

“We’ve had a long week during which we’ve been able to work, and we’ve been able to rest. It doesn’t matter if we play on a Monday, the only problem is for the fans. The children have school, people are working that day and the next, but from a professional or gameplay aspect, the time and day doesn’t really matter to us. We hope that the fans will come and support us as they always do. They are a real plus for the team which we can never lose”.

Raising funds for flood victims

“A clear message of unity and respect for people who are going through a bad time. It’s a difficult situation for them and we want to help them as much as we can. It affects our fans and it affects us. I believe the Club has tried and will always try to be there whenever possible to help and will always have us there at their disposal”.
