Miguel Torres: “We want to end LaLiga winning games”

Malaguista defender, Miguel Torres held a press conference today. “We are lucky to have two home games, which is great for us”, says the Madrid-born player.

Final stage

"We’re facing our next match on Monday, so we’ve got a lot of time to work this week.  For us it’s a real luxury playing at home in front of our fans, so I hope it’ll be a hotly contested match, good to watch, and our supporters really get behind us.”

Season of hard work

"What we must do through pride and for our fans is end the last three matches in the best way possible, and by playing good football.  My idea and my dream is to finish the season with the feeling that we’ve had a good year, worked hard and put in a great deal of effort.”

Position in the table

"I don’t want our position in the rankings to determine our final grade of the season, it wouldn’t be fair in that respect.  We’re a very hard working team and I think we’ve each given our all to ensure Málaga are in the position they’re in.”

Hungry for victories

"There are three games remaining, a lot can happen in football, we could have an unfavourable result or face certain criticism.  Therefore, I want to end LaLiga well, winning games.  We are lucky to have two home games, which is great for us.  I hope our fans value our performance and my grade is high.  I can’t say a number but I’d like us to round up in the matches that are left.”

Solid

"I’m delighted for every one of my teammates, both who work the defensive side and the attack.  We’ve had forwards who have had moments of scoring goals, which is important for us.  We barely make any mistakes in defence, concede few opportunities and on the attack we usually have a number of chances we can materialise.
