Competition officially sanctions Recio and Weligton

The RFEF’s Competition Committee has officially confirmed the sanctions imposed on Malaguista players, Recio and Weligton. Both will miss out on the next LaLiga match against Levante UD.

Both Recio and Weligton were shown yellow cards in the last League clash against Atlético de Madrid, and have been given a one-match ban due to an accumulation of cards.  In the case of the Málaga-born midfielder, this is his third cycle of cards in the competition, whilst the Brazilian central defender was shown his fifth yellow card in this current season.

With four cards and on the brink of suspension is Raúl Albentosa.  Currently on three cards are Duje Cop and Miguel Torres (second cycle).
