Football wasn’t kind to Atlético Malagueño and Juvenil División de Honor this weekend in the closing stages of play. Dely Valdés’ boys conceded two goals in minutes 87 and 90, whilst Francis Bravo’s team succumbed to an equaliser in minute 95.
Atlético Malagueño
The Blue and Whites’ reserve team didn’t manage to score any points on matchday 7 of the league competition against one of the top teams in the category, FC Cartagena. The visitors scored in minutes 87 and 90, following an extremely even game. The match was heading for a draw until Elady appeared, with a long, powerful shot that sneaked past the post and Blue and Whites’ keeper, Samu Casado.
Following the goal, Atlético Malagueño sought a heroic move, but the Cartagena defence was impregnable. So much so, with a counter-attack, Gustavo Munúa’s lads sentenced the match with a goal from Moyita. Before the visitors’ two goals, the Blue and Whites generated their best chance at the boots of Juan Cruz, who failed to win a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Juvenil DH
It was a draw for Málaga CF Juvenil de División de Honor on matchday 6 of the competition against Séneca CF. The match was decided in the closing stages; César converted for the Blue and Whites in ’91, whilst in 95’ Dani went level for the visitors. With this point, Francis Bravo’s team is in fifth position in the standings, four points away from the top spot.
