Several players come to the end of their spell with Malagueño
Mateo, Badiola, Alexis, Rubén, and Juanma have reached the end of their contracts with Atlético Malagueño and will not remain with the squad for the 2026/27 season.
Club Atlético Malagueño will compete next season again in Group IX of the Tercera Federación, with Francis Bravo leading the coaching staff of the Blue and White team.
Málaga CF’s reserve team will not have defender Ángel Mateo, midfielder Ibon Badiola, and forwards Alexis Chamorro, Rubén Sánchez, and Juanma Hernández next season. As of 30th June, they will no longer belong to the club.
Málaga Club de Fútbol wishes all the players who are leaving the club the best of luck in their future personal and sporting careers.
Likewise, a large group of players will join the squad coming up from the Juvenil ‘A’ team in the División de Honor. These include goalkeeper Lucas Jiménez, full-backs Alberto Jiménez and Musa, centre-back Salva Ramos, midfielder Diego Ramírez, winger José María Arévalo, and forward Basti Jr. The squad will also include Rafa Hidalgo, a defender arriving from Málaga ‘C’, and forward Fran Maldonado, who returns to Málaga after having played for UD Torre del Mar during the 2025/26 season.
