Málaga is wonderful!

Oxford was the epicentre of Malaguismo last weekend as the Blue and Whites played their fourth preseason match, bringing together over 250 'MCFans' for an international pre-match gathering at The William Morris JD Wetherspoon.

Malaguismo crossed borders last Saturday during Málaga CF’s fourth preseason friendly, which turned into an unforgettable day of camaraderie for both the travelling fans and the club’s British supporters.

Hours before the match against Oxford United FC, the Club hosted a successful meet-up at The William Morris JD Wetherspoon pub, a gathering point that brought together dozens of Blue and White fans in a family-friendly atmosphere filled with passion.

“It's indescribable. Seeing so many Malaguista shirts... We’re overwhelmed by so much Malaguismo and so many beautiful stories,” said Kike Pérez, Málaga CF’s general manager, who also praised the British supporters: “They carry Málaga, the province, the city, and the team, in their hearts. They all have their shirts, their stories, they've been to La Rosaleda, and it’s an honour to be part of all this,” he added.

The event, filled with vibrant energy and a strong sense of belonging, delighted the team’s international supporters, especially those living in the UK, from cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Southampton, Birmingham, and beyond. Many took the opportunity to proudly wear historic Málaga CF shirts and chant club songs that brought a true Malaguista spirit to the streets of England.

During the gathering, official shirts, scarves, and various Málaga CF merchandise were raffled off. The lively atmosphere never faded, proving that Malaguismo knows no boundaries. Málaga Club de Fútbol extends its heartfelt thanks for the incredible turnout and enthusiasm of all attendees, especially the British fans who follow the team from afar with such passion and devotion.
