Málaga CF Femenino is looking forward to a new competition. As well as the league, the girls will also be taking part in the Copa de S.M. La Reina, the draw for which is taking place on Monday 22nd October from 12:00 at the Federación Española de Fútbol. As a special feature, this edition of the Cup will see all 16 teams in Liga Iberdrola competing, so Málaga CF will also be a part of it.
How the draw will work
As reported by the RFEF, the draw for the round of 16 will be made by forming two groups of eight teams, with each group containing one of the two teams qualified for the Women’s Champions League -FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid-. The eight teams from each group will then be paired up. The competition will feature single games and held at the ground of the team selected first.
