Málaga Femenino celebrate International Women’s Day with Coca-Cola

The Blue and Whites visited the company’s bottling plant in Málaga, where they found out about the ‘Gira Mujeres’ program and enjoyed a drinks’ tasting.

The Málaga CF Femenino girls made the most of their day off and swapped Cártama for the Coca-Cola European Partners bottling plant in Málaga. The visit took place in the lead-up to International Women’s Day – Thursday 8th March – celebrated by Coca-Cola.

The Malaguistas got to see the company’s production line in action, as well as the ‘Gira Mujeres’ program being undertaken by the Coca-Cola Foundation, which has just begun it’s II edition, with the aim of reaching more than 4,000 female entrepreneurs.

Blue and White midfielder, Sandra Pérez spoke to the Club media after the event, and thanked the drinks company for its support in giving visibility to women’s sport: “We’ve come back to the house of Coca-Cola for another year, and as always it’s a pleasure that they support the sport. Particularly women’s sport, more so during the International Women’s Day celebrations”.

The visit was directed by Laura García, from the Communications and Institutional Relations Department of Coca-Cola European Partners in Málaga: “The aim of this week is to schedule visits of groups of women, in this case a football team, and present the ‘Gira Mujeres’ program. The objective of the Coca-Cola Foundation’s project is to empower and help female entrepreneurs. This visit allows the players to see our home and link the world of football with women”.
