Málaga CF never walks alone

The Club currently has nearly 40 federated supporters’ clubs. Do you want to join one or form your own ‘peña’? Here’s how to do it!

During every match, La Rosaleda beats to the rhythm of the fans. Loyal followers who visit the Malaguista temple to cheer on the team to victory. A feeling that is difficult to put into words.

And the fact is that Málaga CF never walks alone. On average, more than 20.000 fans visited La Rosaleda in each of the 19 home games last season. During a tough year, with a great deal of suffering, the Malaguistas have continued to support their team. Almost 400.000 fans throughout the season, with an average occupation of 68 per cent, ranks Málaga CF in ninth place as the LaLiga team with the most assistance, ahead of RCD Espanyol, Villarreal CF, Celta de Vigo and Real Sociedad, amongst others.

Federation of Peñas Malaguistas

Many of these fans are part of the 40 supporters’ clubs integrated into the FPM (Federación de Peñas Malaguistas). Followers from all corners of the province (from Sierra de las Nieves to Frigiliana, passing through the capital and the western coast) attend La Rosaleda to feel the heat of the colours: The Blue and the White.

However, the Malaguista feeling isn’t only lived in the capital of the Costa del Sol. In Blanes, Cornellá, Barcelona and Madrid, they also support Málaga CF. Four Blue and White ‘peñas’ have headquarters outside the province.

International peñas

Furthermore, many foreign football fans have made Málaga and Málaga CF a way of life. Proof of this are the international supporters’ clubs: the Malaguista Peñas of Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, in addition to the well-known Guiri Army.
