Luis Hernández: “This is the way forward”

The Málaga CF central defender reviews the defeat against Real Zaragoza and conveys a positive message: “We didn’t get any points, but we’re now focused on Saturday and convinced we’re on the right track to get the three points”.

Sad about the result, proud of the gameplay

“We’re upset as we were determined to keep all three points at home today and continue our good run. It’s a shame how the game developed. It’s true that we had sufficient opportunities to score a goal, but due to an unfortunate incident they took the lead and then the match came to an end. We’re sad we couldn’t clinch a home win today, but I’m proud of my teammates and the match we played. We’re convinced this is the way forward”.

This is the line to follow

“It was a match involving details, but I believe we dominated all aspects of the game. I think we were superior against a great rival, one of the best teams of the category, and it’s a pity we didn’t get any points. I’m proud and certain that this is the right way to end the season”.

Good game on the attack

“I congratulate the two attackers as often we don’t value them, and they are the ones that get worn out in stalling the pressure from Zaragoza’s game play. I think the rival had very little possession today, they are one of the teams that best manages the ball and dominates possession, yet that wasn’t the case due to the effort of the players upfront”.

United team

“Our run of positive results has come to an end, but the team isn’t broken. I believe that the team played one of the best matches of the season today against a major rival. We didn’t get any points, but we’re now focused on Saturday and convinced we’re on the right track to get the three points”.
