Football, handball and basketball merged on Sunday during the celebration of the I Guerreras and Genuinas Tournament. An event organised by the MCF Foundation and the Rincón Fertilidad Foundation in which Málaga CF Femenino, Málaga Genuine, Rincón Fertilidad and Trops Málaga Fundación Victoria (handball) and Globetrotters de Torre del Mar (basketball) combined their sports on a day full of fun and inclusion.
This initiative, promoted by the Málaga CF Foundation together with handball team Rincón Fertilidad and the business dedicated to the production and marketing of tropical fruit, Trops, aims to increase the visibility of women in sport. Without barriers, and focused on equality, this tournament was held at the Rubén Ruzafa Pavilion in Rincón de la Victoria in front of 600 people.
The day kicked off with a handball match, followed by football and to end the event, a basketball game. Each match was made up of two halves of 15 minutes each.
Footballers tested their basketball skills, handball players used their feet and basketball players changed the hoop for the goal on a fun, different day of sport.
Former Málaga CF player Sebastián Fernández ‘Basti’ and president of Rincón Fertilidad, María José Moreno refereed the matches.
