Buenacasa: “We can compete as equals against any rival”

The forward appeared in the mixed zone at La Rosaleda following #MálagaRealZaragoza. “Every game I play is good news for me, it’s what I work for every week”, he stated.

Positive side of defeat

“We fought in a very tough game against a very strong team, where we deserved more than going home empty-handed. In the end, the team works well in every match and we need to focus on the positives. Teams that want to win here will have to do a lot of things right to ensure we don’t claim any points”.

Confidence and dynamic

“Despite the defeat, with every game the team gains confidence and we’re seeing that we can compete as equals against any rival. The team dynamic is good, and I think we are going to look up and try to win the maximum number of matches possible”.

Special match

“I’m happy to play, every game I play is good news for me, it’s what I work for every week. Playing against Zaragoza is always special for me because it’s my home team, where I grew up. I was within the youth ranks for many years and I have teammates there so it’s always nice to see them”.

Close-call for Adrián from a Buenacasa pass

“It would have been great as I had just joined the game. I saw it was a good ball, and thought it was going to go in as Adrián is great at headers. It was a difficult cross, but anyway, I’m trying to play as much as I can and always help the team”.

Huesca, next step

“Clean slate, we’re starting from scratch again. We did many things well, but we cannot focus on the negatives, we need to move on. On Saturday we’ve got another match coming up against a big rival that plays good football. We’ll do our best to stand up to them and take the three points”.
