Interview

Luis Hernández and Julio, face to face

The central defender and young homegrown player spoke to the Club media to analyse the work being undertaken in the third phase of training.

Return to work in small groups

Luis Hernández

“We’re happy to be able to share training with our teammates. Of course, it’s not like a normal training session, but it’s what we have to do now. We need to ensure we get the most out of each and every training session”.

Julio

“We’re all very happy, it’s a step forward and we’re looking forward to going further. Little by little we’re feeling that we’re getting back to football”.

The return to competition is getting closer

Luis Hernández

“It will be in the near future, but there’s no set date as yet. Globally the number of infections is reducing, which is good for everyone. For us, the step forward from individual training to groups of 10 is important. We’re looking forward to training as a complete group as soon as possible”.

Julio

“We’re getting there. We’re working hard every day to make sure we’re at our best and can’t wait to get back to competition”.

The importance of these training sessions

Luis Hernández

“It’s essential that we’re fit for the initial games which will signify a great deal for everyone. The team was in the middle of a good dynamic before the break and now in the coming weeks we have to prepare ourselves physically and mentally in the best way possible to try and regain that level as soon as we can and start of well. The group is working hard in each training session, and during the months we’ve been locked down at home. We can’t wait to return to group training with all of us and, above all, compete”.

Julio

“It’s new for everyone. In addition, I’ve never undergone a pre-season with the team. We need to adapt as quickly as possible to make sure we’re ready”.
