La Rosaleda wants to celebrate its birthday with you
The Malaguista stadium will host events and promotions to celebrate its 75th birthday, ahead of Sunday’s match between Málaga CF and CD Leganés.
It’s not every day you celebrate 75 years, so Málaga CF has prepared a big party to mark La Rosaleda’s birthday on Sunday.
MCF Official Store
The MCF Store at the stadium will be open earlier (14:00 until 18:00) and will close later (19:30 until 20:30). In addition, from 16:00, fans can enjoy the first slices of La Rosaleda’s birthday cake, courtesy of Obrador de Confitería Tejeros. Once the stadium doors open, the cake will be distributed to fans inside.
Tribute to grandparents
As with all birthdays, Málaga CF wants to celebrate with all the family, and is paying a special tribute to grandparents. Therefore, in the Official Store at the stadium, fans will receive a limited edition scarf bearing the slogan “My grandfather made me a Malaguista”, with the purchase of a Blue and Whites’ shirt.
Also, before the match against CD Leganés at 18:30, the Málaga CF players will pose on the pitch with 11 ‘grandfathers and grandmothers’ from the Malaguismo, amongst whom will be Lourdes Alonso, who took the first kick of honour at La Rosaleda 75 years ago.
Stepping on to the pitch at the Blue and Whites’ stadium with the players will be Club advisers; Abdullah Ben Barek and Antonio Benítez, and Bernardi, a former CD Málaga player in the 50s and 60s, amongst others.
Happy Birthday song
Minutes before kick-off, the video screens will display the lyrics to the Happy Birthday song, so everyone at the party can congratulate the Malaguista stadium. Furthermore, 500 blue and white balloons will be shared amongst the boys and girls, at the Club store.
