Juankar sustained a tendon injury to his left adductor muscle in minute 68 of the 17th LaLiga match of the season against Levante UD, when he tried to gain possession on the left wing. He was immediately substituted. Following diagnostic tests, the extent of the injury was determined.
Having started the recovery process, he consulted renowned sports surgeon, Sakari Orava and the decision was made to undergo surgery. During the operation, undertaken this afternoon at the Xanit clinic in Benalmádena, the Club’s traumatologist, Antonio Narváez was present, along with Málaga CF’s head of medical services, doctor Juan Carlos Pérez Frías.
The player now needs a few days’ rest before beginning the recovery period.
