Juankar: “In two minutes everything changed”

The Blue and Whites’ defender appeared in the mixed zone at Pizjuán following #SevillaFCMálaga: “We’ve got this week to work on correcting these mistakes, and the following week go all out against Leganés at home”.

Two fateful minutes

“The team played a good game in the first half. We were well positioned, but nearly all the dangerous actions were offside, but that’s football. Within one minute everything changed, and then we found ourselves 2-0 down immediately afterwards, so we’re angry going back to Málaga. We’ve got this week to work on correcting these mistakes, and the following week go all out against Leganés at home”.

No luck

“The truth is the team worked hard, but it all changed in a minute. I think we’re missing a bit of good luck when it comes to converting the opportunities we generate into goals, which would alter the game a great deal”.

Keep working

“Nobody likes to have just one point and to lose such an important match, but we need to keep our heads held high. We can’t get down going home as it would be like throwing stones at our own roof. It’s not about looking for excuses, but about working hard. We still haven’t had a win, but we need to carry on. It’s time now to turn this around”.
