Ismael: “I want to continue with the Club and play in the First Division”

During an interview with MCFTV, the homegrown player is pleased with his automatic renewal: “I’ve spent so many years working to achieve this objective, and I’ve done it”.

Enormous satisfaction

“I’m very happy to have reached 10 matches and have a new, more professional contract linked to the first team. I’ve spent so many years working to achieve this objective, and I’ve done it”.

MCF Academy factory

“I arrived in the first year ‘infantil’ category and now this is my seventh year at the Club. When I first got here I didn’t play much, but learning under all the coaches I started to play more minutes in the youth categories. There were many tournaments, we always liked to take part in the Easter competitions to play against teams from other cities we’d never been to before”.

The day the long-awaited letter arrived

“Málaga sent me a letter regarding carrying out some tests, which I did along with several other teammates who are here today, such as Ramón and others who were in the ‘juveniles’. Manel and Arnau liked me and luckily I was able to come here (…) My previous team surprised me, along with my family and friends, which was so emotional”.

Self-definition

“My style of play is more of a fighter with a lot of passion, than anything else. Since I was little, I’ve played as a central defender, and the year I was with San Félix I moved more to the wing. I feel very comfortable in both positions and the coach knows that wherever I am I’ll always try to do my best”.

Blue and White youth ranks, seal of quality

“Málaga has youth teams that very few others can boast of. There are players who haven’t yet made the move up, but I’m sure they soon will”.

Commitment

“Next year I want to continue with the Club and play in the First Division. I want to stay here and see the Club move up to where it should be and deserves to be.”

Three finals

“We’re going to give everything we’ve got. Although we’ve practically safeguarded our place, we’re going to compete to the max in these three finals and give our all”.

Dream come true

“I have always dreamt about becoming a footballer, but it was slow in coming. I was always immersed in something else, and if it was going to happen, then it would happen. Then the moment arrived, and I’m thrilled I can enjoy it here in Málaga. I dedicate this to my family for all their support over the years; it’s not easy being alone when you’re young, so I’m always thinking about them”.
