LaLiga Genuine Santander 2022/23 kicked off this Tuesday morning at the official presentation held at the Santander Work Café on Paseo de Recoletos in Madrid.

Alba Flores and Silvia Ruiz, players within the MCF Foundation team, attended the presentation of the fifth season of the best league in the world.

As well as our two representatives, also present were Felipe Martín, Director of Media, Online Marketing and Sponsorships of Banco Santander; Óscar Mayo, executive general manager of LaLiga; Vicente del Bosque, ambassador of LaLiga Genuine Santander; Iker Casillas, LaLiga Icon; Miguel Torres, ambassador of LaLiga; in addition to Sergio Olmo and Josemi 'La Araña', players from Fundación Rayo Vallecano and CD Leganés, respectively.

Alba Flores and Silvia Ruiz had the honour of playing a fundamental role in the presentation of this fifth season of the competition, full of emotion, values and camaraderie, which starts this coming weekend with a few changes.

Firstly, there will be a record number of participating teams, totalling 44 with the arrival of Fundación Real Madrid and Fútbol Club Andorra.

The teams will be divided into three groups: ‘Respeto’, ‘Deportividad’ and ‘Compañerismo’. Málaga Genuine is included in the latter along with 15 other teams.

And bringing even more value to the slogan 'Sharing before competing', LaLiga Genuine Santander 2022/23 will award up to three Fair Play trophies and as many championship trophies, one for each competition group.

The first phase gets underway this weekend, from 11th to 13th November in Tarragona. The 44 teams will be taking part who will once again experience unique moments in which sportsmanship and respect will reign with Nástic de Tarragona as host.

The second phase will be held in Barcelona between 17th and 19th February, and Bilbao between 24th and 26th March.

Vigo, from 14th and 16th April, and Burgos, from 12th to 14th May will host the third and penultimate phase of the competition.

The final fiesta will take place at Ciudad Deportiva del Villarreal CF, the fourth and final phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander 2022/23, taking place the weekend of 9th and 11th June.

The presentation ceremony concluded with the group photo of the players and representatives of the organisation, and the subsequent dance of the Genuine haka, the official anthem that introduced a new edition of the best league in the world.
